ARTIST'S STATEMENT

We live in a world of fast and ever moving events with objects being passed by without notice in our day-to-day lives, but if I can cause the viewer to stop and take another look, then I have accomplished what I seek – a quiet moment of thought and reflection with these un-noticed and taken for granted objects in our lives!

I also love to present drama, mystery and simplicity which evokes a quiet serenity within my work that speaks to the viewer in unvarnished ways. I play and manipulate the light to bring this drama to my unseen objects which I hope will force the observer to turn around and take a second look or instantly be drawn in to my world of objects. If I can accomplish stopping time for even a moment for the viewer then I believe many will see the very silent but beautiful life of these simple objects – β€œla vie silencieuse des objects!” If I can capture this moment of silent observation then I believe I have accomplished something truly remarkable and I have achieved my goal!
